*BON ETAT* Lieutenant General Aviateur Baron Michael Donnet, CVO, DFC, Croix de Guerre (Belgian), FRAeS, was in combat against the Luftwaffe from 1940 until the end of the War, first with the Belgian Air Force and then, after a hair-raising flight from occupied Belgium, with the RAF. He went on to become Belgian Military Attaché in london and eventually Chief of the Belgian Defence Staff and Chairman of the NADGE Policy, with the RAF. His gripping story is a vivid history of World War II aviaiton by an outstanding pilot who lived through it all.
